We have a wealth of experience in providing solutions within the financial services industry.

Our directors have worked in top companies that sit within the top FTSE 100 in global finance, high-street banking and building societies which collectively brings together over 60 years’ of Financial Services experience with us. We also successfully run a mortgage company which was established in December 2008 (Ascot Mortgages Ltd) which we achieved through long periods of  unpredictable housing markets and the longest recession in history.

Through ever-improving technologies, we employ our due diligence, passion and dedication into putting together the best loan packages available.

Within our team, we are careful to nurture a transparent and customer-centric culture, making the end to end process of obtaining finance to purchase a home or releasing equity from a property easier when speed is of the essence.

We are proud to boast that a staggering 83% of our business comes from repeat customers or referrals from previous customers.

What is your position within the company and what would you say a normal day at work consists of?

I am the Operations Director for Ascot Bridging Finance ensuring the operation is running smoothly, maintaining excellent relationships with our business partners and overseeing the completion of all of deals.

How did you get started in this area of work? How did you become involved with Ascot?

I have always had a passion for finance and have worked in financial services since I was 16 years. I have been involved with some of the UK and the world’s biggest banks along the way and picked up a lot of valuable skills. We started Ascot Mortgages in 2008 and we thrived during a difficult recession period. Launching the bridging finance side will complement our existing business and clients as well as allowing us to strive to be better than our competitors.

What aspects of your job do you enjoy the most?

Helping our clients to achieve their goals with our expert advice and providing the right products

What do you enjoy to do outside of work?

Spending time with my family – they make it all worthwhile!

What is your position within the company and what would you say a normal day at work consists of?

My role in Ascot Bridging Finance is that of Service Director providing excellent customer journey from concept to market I am excited by the launch of the new business and seeing it become as successful as our other companies.

How did you get started in this area of work? How did you become involved with Ascot?

I have been involved in financial services all of my working career, and became involved in Ascot Bridging Finance through my association with Ascot Mortgages Ltd. These are family run businesses of which I am very proud to be part of.

What aspects of your job do you enjoy the most?

I love customer interaction and being able to deliver a successful result even for some of the more complex cases.

What do you enjoy to do outside of work?

I love to spend time with my grandsons who keep me young at heart, relaxing in the sun, and generally having quality time with my family.

What is your position within the company and what would you say a normal day at work consists of?

I am classed Asset Manager for Ascot Bridging Finance. I respond to requests from the Bridging Team by making contact with the client/s to introduce myself and establish who is holding the keys to the property they are looking to secure finance against. I will arrange via the Estate Agent/Auction house rep/keyholder etc to collect the keys or arrange to meet their agent at the property. In parallel I will agree to meet the client/s at site to confirm their identities against their Driving License and Passport which I request they send to me, along with a recent Utility Bill to ensure their home address matches that on their DL.

I will question them regarding their plans for the property renovation and take photographs throughout the property. All of this will be assessed against the information they have provided via their broker etc to build a complete picture and assess their suitability to repay the Bridging Finance.

How did you get started in this area of work? How did you become involved with Ascot?

I retired from British Telecom after 42 years in 2019. I have been friends and work colleagues with Dave for over 40 years and he invited me into Ascot to discuss the role and I started at the end of 2019.

What aspects of your job do you enjoy the most?

I have a keen interest in property renovation, having completed 2 renovations and having 2 rental properties and I find meeting new clients and discussing their ideas extremely interesting as I would like to complete another property renovation when I have more time. Driving around the country also gives me a lot of thinking time.

What do you enjoy to do outside of work?

I have 3 daughters who, between my 2 eldest have 4 young grandchildren ranging in age from just under 2 years old to almost 8. They each have a boy and girl and myself and my wife help manage childcare, taking to school etc. I enjoy cycling and reading and attend Liverpool FC football games as and when I can obtain a ticket.  

What is your position within the company and what would you say a normal day at work consists of?

I am a Senior Business Development Manager.

Each day I have meetings with brokers to present Ascot Bridging Finance proposition. I am the first point of contact to help with new bridging loan enquiries and provide indicative terms. I work closely with new and existing brokers to provide tailored solutions for a consistent positive outcome. I also support and assist other members of the team.

How did you get started in this area of work? How did you become involved with Ascot Bridging Finance Ltd?

I have worked in the financial services industry for the last 18 years in various roles in banks and building societies. I have been a BDM in the Bridging Finance Sector now for the last four years. Ascot Bridging Finance was recommended to me as a great place to work due to their values and vision.

What aspects of your job do you enjoy the most?

I enjoy the fast-paced nature of Bridging and the variation of the role as no two deals or days are the same. I am passionate about providing professional and exceptional service to meet the requirements and needs of both the broker and the client.

What do you enjoy to do outside of work?

Outside of work I like to travel, socialise, and keep fit.

What is your position within the company and what would you say a normal day at work consists of?

I'm a Case Manager and my normal day consists of helping with new enquiries and existing applications queries via email and phone and also assisting our Underwriters with ongoing application processes.

How did you get started in this area of work? How did you become involved with Ascot Bridging Finance Ltd?

Been involved with the mortgage industry around 4 years now. My Bridging Career started within Ascot Bridging as I wanted to expand my expertise and Ascot provided that opportunity!

What aspects of your job do you enjoy the most?

I enjoy being able to see Clients projects come together no matter how complex they may be and knowing we helped to assist in their plans and achieve their goals is a good motive to want to help more!

What do you enjoy to do outside of work?

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with loved ones, adventuring and exploring new places and eating as much food as I can!

What is your position within the company and what would you say a normal day at work consists of?

My position within the company is a case manager. A normal day for me consists of managing the cases from application to completion and keeping the borrower / broker up to date. I also will instruct solicitors and valuations and gather and review all the documents we require for underwriting.

How did you get started in this area of work? How did you become involved with Ascot?

I started in this industry by case managing residential mortgages and just wanted a change which led me to my first bridging role about 3 years ago. I became involved with Ascot due to having heard such positive things in both my mortgage and bridging career to date which led me to apply for the role and I really love the values of the company regarding charity work which I cant wait to get involved in!

What aspects of your job do you enjoy the most?

Every day is different, and I am faced with new challenges every day. I love seeing a case fist come in at application stage and then seeing that case progress through to redemption and seeing all the hard work that has gone into the property.

What do you enjoy to do outside of work?

I most enjoy going out with my friends and spending as much time as I can with my family. I also enjoy riding and looking after my horse!
